Christmas party game for remote, hybrid and distributed teams

A Very Meta Christmas

Last year our holiday-season game, A Christmas Puzzle, had a retro theme - with a throwback to a simpler, less digital time.

We wanted to create something fun and light-hearted to make people smile in a time where life was a bit grim.

This year, as we continue to make our way out of the pandemic, we have decided to head into the future!

We’re taking a bit of a tongue-in-cheek look at the Metaverse in this year's holiday-season special, A Very Meta Christmas.

And before you jump to any conclusions, I can tell you that this game was not built to coincide with the launch of Facebook's Meta.

Or was it?

Either way, Zucky, the gatekeeper to the Metaverse, has found his way into the story, which has a mega, or should I say, meta, twist.

Built in our typical problem solving style, your team will go on a trip together and you’ll be collecting some rather peculiar holiday gifts from the Metaverse!

As always, we've built this game with multicultural teams & inclusivity in mind- so whether or not you or your team actually celebrate Christmas is not important, everyone can participate equally.

We actually had a team of 10 people from Canva get into the festive spirit early this year and play A Very Meta Christmas last week.

Based on the feedback it seems like we have a winning formula with another challenging but feel-good team experience suitable for remote, hybrid and distributed teams.

If you got to here and you’re still thinking but wait, what's the Metaverse?

Don't worry, there is no pre-knowledge of the Metaverse (or reading of cyberpunk classic, Snow Crash) required.

So whether you’re a bunch of NFT die-hards (I’m looking at you, engineering team), or just a group blissfully unaware of the future being built around you, this heartwarming holiday game is perfect for any end-of-year celebration.

And one more thing…

This year we can also customise some of the content in the game so that it feels like yours!

Got an in-joke that you want to tie into the game? Prefer to add your company branding or to include some custom themes - that’s all possible.

Just get in touch to discuss.
