Finding individuals that help others rise to the top

A world-renowned scholarship program aims to find brilliant people who need opportunity and support them for life as they work to serve others. The program is funded through an organisation committed to finding and supporting global talent.

The brief

The program directors were looking for a digital group activity that could be used to identify individual contribution to team performance.

They had a cohort of 600+ students from over 80 countries around the world, and needed interactive games that were fun, inclusive, and as culturally non-specific as possible, to ensure fairness.

They asked Loumee to design a series of games and collect data that could be used by the selection team to help identify great team players.

The program

In collaboration with the program research team, Loumee designed a series of fun and challenging games that would be suitable for use with a large, diverse international cohort.

The games were developed by the creative team, and then coded so that they could be delivered efficiently and effectively via an easy-to-use, browser-based web application.

Over a one month period, the Loumee team delivered 10 virtually-hosted events in collaboration with the program team, in collaboaration with facilitators from all over the world.

The outcome

The program was a huge success, on two fronts. Not only did the candidates enjoy the team games immensely, but the data helped the scholarship team to identify those who consistently contributed to team performance.

Out of a series of activities, more than half of the candidates rated Loumee’s games as their favorite part of the selection program- the most of any activity.
